Selling 1986 Chevrolet Camaro dark brown color. Location: Illinois – Harvard.
-2.8L V6, 5-spd manual transmission -Roughly 104k miles, instrument cluster was replaced by prior owner, current odo reads ~33k -Dark brown w/ black interior
Has newer battery, pcv valve, water pump, fuel injectors, spark plugs & wires, air filters, hood hydraulics, new tinting on both doors and rear window. Rear hatch motor works great. Has aftermarket gauges for tach, oil pressure, coolant temp, battery charge, all mounted but not connected. Will include the Haynes repair manual.
The bad parts: -A/C system removed by prior owner in preparation for V8 swap which was never done -Headliner and sun visors are gone due to sagging -Catalytic converter removed, causes check engine light to come on occasionally but no effect on performance -Has air shocks but air coupling missing the fitting to raise them, rides pretty stiff as it is now but hasn't bothered me -Washer pump runs but doesn't spray, may be clogged or just hooked up wrong -stereo included but not installed
This is a great running and reliable car, I didn't drive it over the winter but I did start it occasionally to let it run and charge the battery, as cold as it got it fired up right away every time, I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It does have some problems with the dash cracking and paint/clearcoat fading, and some surface rust on the fenders around the wheels, nothing unusual for a car this age. This car is fun to drive and gets good mileage, would make a great project car to turbo the V6 or do a V8 swap, the frame is solid. I'm only selling because I can't afford the insurance on top of my other vehicles, and I need some cash to put into my truck and pay for school. I hate to part with this car but life demands it. I do have clear title in my name in hand. Any questions please email through here, or call/text me at 815-560-2997 Asking $2300 o.b.o. would also consider trading it for a sportbike (GSXR750 or similar) of like value, probably mid-90's, let me know what you got.
